Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

RL, Similar situation here. I plowed out the neighbors for years, no charge and no reciprocation, ever. I backed off to just me and the old guy across the street. He died last spring and his kids had the nerve to ask me to continue to clear the driveway. When I told them I would for $20/storm, they found someone else to do the job. The house is empty and up for sale.

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

Only 6-8" yesterday /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Took about 1/2 hour to clear 12' wide by 600' long of drive, the parking area, and out in front of the deck (after diesel warm-up...gotta be fair about that). Not nearly enough seat time /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. Sure love to see see it flying 50' into the woods though, and leaving no snowbanks ('cept at the end of the drive where I use the RB for the roadplow's dirt/snow/gravel pile). Still waiting for a real storm!

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

Here in NW PA we got twenty plus inches Thanksgiving weekend. Was gone by the next weekend. Since then we have been gradually building back up to a good foot and a half on the level. No match for the 4310 and high vol. bucket though. Enjoy.

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

So we are at about 8" so far but what is affecting me is the ocean like drifts I get out here. I live off a 300 acre farm on the west, 100 acre farm on the north, 500 acre farm on the south and on the east is another 100 acres. No wind blocks. I have gotten to plow three times now due to my lane drifting shut. AWESOME!! I am loving it. 3320 with that 72" John Deere front blade on the loader. It is an articulated MONSTER. I love the way it muscles through the frozen snow like a knife through butter. Anyway I am still just using it mounted straight across as I have not received my hydraulic line to run the angling cylinders yet.

Soon, very soon the articulation will take on a whole new angle!

Not much here in south minnesota yet, but shaping up to be a good old fashioned winter where it actually snows! 6 inches on the ground already! using a 5 foot fronteir rear blade with skid shoes and the FEL. the HDAP tires (X-series swap) are terrific in snow and chains were not required even in a record setting 20 inch dump last March.(photo attached)

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

0" of snow, sunny /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif and 50 degrees here in south east North Carolina and I havn't plowed, shoveld or blown any snow since I moved here from Michigan 6 years ago and I don't miss it.

We only get a couple of inches here about once a year and it is gone in about 2 or 3 days. These people close everything down south when it snows so there is no reason to plow out the driveway and with my artharitis I can't stand the cold. I'm thinking about moving to Texas near my Parents and my Brother.......Ahhhhhhhhh Yessssssss. Warm is good

Ya'll keep that white stuff /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif up yonder please. Be careful this winter ladies and gentlemen.

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

14" on December 9th here in New Hampshire. Cleared up with the front bucket. Took about 1 hr. Am in the process of adapting a 7' snowplow to the front end loader. The rate I'm going it'll be spring by the time I get it done!!

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

Here in south Texas I figured we'd have about 3 feet on the ground by now, but I guess the 65 degree temperature must be melting it all. Guess I'll go for a swim.

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

My wife just called - my darn nice guy neighbor is plowing our drive with his skid steer. That's MY FUN he's eliminating! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Kind of a good news/bad news thing, I guess. That happen to anybody else?

Re: OK, Let\'s Hear Those Snow Reports!!

A bit over 60 inches of snow so far this season. I handle over 400 feet of gravel drive and two turn around areas with my JD 4200 a 59" JD Blower, a ballast box full of iron and chains all the way around on my R4's. It takes about 20 minutes of actual blowing. Lots of discussions in the forum on the advisability of putting chains all the way around.... I have never had a problem and with all the snow (average over 150 inches per season) and ice could not clear without chains. I have tried.
