We need the engine ID plate. This will tell what you really have. This weekend I'll take photos of everything and upload them to clear up any doubts. I can't tell you if it's powershift or geared. My mechanical knowledge is very basic.
Agree.I am thinking you have a1602D.
I do not have access to a 1602 parts manual but here is what I think. I circled what I believe might be the flange that covers your internal suction screen. That screen would need to be cleaned. If no knowledge of last screw on filter change then it likely should be changed. No idea what condition your used fluid was in so I can't really advise a flushing. If everything was pretty clean looking I probably wouldn't do any flushing. A universal transmission/hydraulic fluid is recommended. No idea what you have access to in Spain, maybe Maverick will help you with that.Okay, so what procedure should I follow to refill the oil?
What oil should I use to refill it?
Should I change the filter in the photo?
Should I add some kind of detergent oil first to remove impurities before adding the final oil?
What kind of oil would that be?
OK, after looking at all the photos, this machine is mis-marked.Okay, so what procedure should I follow to refill the oil?

I removed the filter you mentioned and cleaned it.What condition was the fluid in? Any idea about last fluid/filter change? If not then yes, change both.

Yes, Yanmar TF500A or Deere Hy-Gard are suitable for your machine.Ok, thanks, winston1
I see that John Deere 303 oil is no longer sold and its replacement must be John Deere HY-GARD.
Is this correct?
I found this online store in Spain where they sell it:

John Deere HY-GARD es un sofisticado aceite universal para transmisiones de tractores (UTTO) adecuado para equipos de agricultura y jardineríacompralubricantes.com
I can't find that filter (WIX 51203) in Spanish online stores.the strainer and spin on or both for the transmission/hydraulics. This is the filter I used on my old 2002D. I have no way of knowing whether it would fit your 1602D or not. I can only suspect it would. If you could compare the part # for the 1602 and 2002 you could know for sure. Just make sure you get a filter with a good flow range.
This information says they use the same filter. Yanmar Tractor Hydraulic Filter, Spin-on Replaces 194250-48310
FWIW: but please verify that the thread and dimensions match.I can't find that filter (WIX 51203) in Spanish online stores.
Do you know the reference number of an equivalent filter?
