A lot of players have those "rituals" that they are obsessive about. Wonder how many pairs of batting gloves some of those guys go through in a season. The velcro bands must wear out pretty quickly.
There was a pitcher in the play off games this year, can't remember his name, that had the oddest get ready ritual. Before each pitch he would lean slightly forward, shift his weight from left leg to right leg about 10 times, then pause, then go into his delivery. It drove me nuts to watch. It looked so retarded. If he had been in the Series, I couldn't have stood to watch that game.
