no AC can cause big trouble

JD 7200, hot day, air conditioning did not work but oh well, husband is tough, going to pick some bales, Just down the road the tractor runs hot and leaks out all its oil.
Investigate -> AC was seized, so serpentine belt burned through, whacked around and knocked out the engine shaft seal!
So just in case YOUR a/c does not work, don't just sweat ; check the pulley.

The same way the belt noise wasn't heard or the flapping of the belt coming appart wasn't heard. Warning dont matter if you dont pay attention to them.

If the water level drops below the sensor it won't register the high temp. Plus...

Sounds like it had water. It had no oil.

I have an open station too. I saved money on the cab, a/c, and a new motor.

Yes it will, steam temperature, and block temperature via thermal transmission.

he did see the temperature rise so stopped the tractor. Then saw oil trail.

Cabs keep the bees and hornets off you, they keep you cool when its 90 outside, and if you have allergy's, well....
We have both and I prefer the cab tractor.
