Nimco Controls freezing

I have a 2005 New Holland TN75DA with a Stoll loader which has a Nimco control for the FEL. We have been experiencing problems this winter with the side to side motion of the joystick appearing to freeze up. Up and down movement has been fine but ever since we went below freezing temperatures the side to side motion which rolls the bucket seems frozen. We have to let the tractor warm up for at least 30min before we can get any movement in it. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has any suggestions. I would also like to have a schematic of the control box but have been unable to find it online. This is the info on the side plate of it:

I am not familiar with the tractor or the controls but first off does the tractor set out in the weather or is it under cover?

Check under the bottom caps for moisture, rust, etc.

Probably a good cleaning and lube will cure the problem .

Make sure the cap drain is to the bottom. If no drain hole, drill one.

If you have the capability, remove the spool, inspect the spool and all the end pieces for things like o-rings, broken springs, rust, any other debris.

Is this valve lever control or cable operated, and if cable, check the cable for binding and maybe lube.

Ok. The tractor is kept inside undercover. The strange thing is it has worked fine in the warmer weather but just started acting up once it got cold. I am new to all of these controls as we just purchased this tractor about 4 months ago and replaced our 60yr old International. I am very eager to learn though!

The joystick is in the cab and there are 2 cables which run out to the valves which are mid mounted on the side of the tractor. I will take a pic and post when I get home tonight.

Is there any particular place I should be looking for the schematic of the controls?

If you have a good manual, it might be in there , also look in the parts manual.

Since you say you have cables operating the spools, You might try lubing the cables.

If the cable has moisture in, rust might have set in, and it will be difficult to make good.

Check and see if the spool has full movement up/dn, or in/out in the valve body.

I know this is going to sound like a dumb question but which part exactly is the spool?

Depending on position, the spools allow the fluid to take different paths through the hyd valve.

Ok. So when you move the cables you are pushing or pulling the spools which allows the fluid to go in different directions? The area which could be worn, rusty, etc is where the cable connects to the spool?

Anywhere in the cable is possible.

You can remove the end of the cable at the spool and move the lever to check cable movement. The cable should slide easy in the sheath.

The spools should be spring centered, so if you push the spool in, and let go, it will spring back out . If you pull the spool out, it should spring back in.

I had a problem with my front loader up and down lever getting so stiff it would hardly move.

Problem solved when we drained all the fluid and put new in.

May not be your problem but our fluid was very milky
