just found this site and joined today. I am just getting into this and have a ton of research to do. My family has a place in Soddy Daisy, Tn with about 300 acres (60 of it open field) that we want to turn into a farm (apple trees, christmas trees, pumpkins veggies etc) Its a dream, but living in Atlanta working a corporate job for the last 17 years has taken its toll......I'm ready for change and the country life. I plan to make the move within the next 3 years but I want to take the time now to learn what I can and get things started/planted. the old Golden Jubilee ford aint gonna cut it , time to start tractor shopping and man are thee a lot of options....I need help!!

Welcome. You will be able to get lots of information and advice via TBN. I'd suggest you spend a few weeks just searching and reading the archives before posting questions directly. Sounds like you have plenty of time to study up before you need to purchase so make use of the forum. Be aware that we all love spending other guys money and that is why I suggest you read generally before posting your specific questions. Otherwise we'll have you driving the fully tricked out object of OUR desires rather than what you really need. One other point: You are lucky to be within a couple of hours of a dealer like Ken Sweet too. Take advantage of that and pay him a visit.
