New Welder

The ground lead goes there, so I don't know if it's an issue.

No I bought it for the Hot Start option, and to take a little load off my Dynasty. Just soon leave the Dynasty for a dedicated Tig welder. Which this worked out perfectly, the PowerArc 200 welds circles around that $6,000.00 Dynasty on SMAW!

Yeah, that's right. I was thinking in terms of completing the circuit, and wasn't thinking about the fact it is the negative terminal. You'd need to hold the stinger end then...:confused2:

Mark,

Am I reading your website correctly that the 200 and 205 will do both Mig and stick?

Power I-MIG 200? Yes. You are reading that correctly and if you use a 17V or similar torch DC tig. Plus it has arc force/Inductance control for MIG. Built in post flow. Stepless control of both Voltage and wire speed. And it has a form of synergic control, which keeps you from welding terribly at almost any voltage. Heavy Duty cast aluminum pwm controlled wire feed. Deluxe Binzel mig gun. 4 or 8" drive roll without need for special adapters. Also it is spool gun ready
