If you want to get in tight places, then maybe something like the X585 is the ticket. I think Simpicity makes a 4x4 garden tractor also, the Legacy I think.
I don't believe that for your tractor dollar these are the best deals. THough it would be cheaper than getting a sub CUT and a decent lawn tractor. I've heard that a Deere 2210 actually comes in cheaper than a similarly equiped X595. But the X595 has a much tighter turning radius. Same with the Simplicty. I know that both are avail with loaders, but not sure about a BH. (prob not, on a tractor with that amount of weight)
They both also have some pretty cool attachments designed for lawn maint. Like a front mount dethatcher (so you can pick up the thatch with the deck & bagger) The Deere also has a pretty neat bagger, large capacity and dumps from your seat.
Because of their weight, not sure how they are about moving things around, though I have heard some pretty incredible testamonials on the Deere X series here.
When looking, I was very concerned about the size issue also. Went back & forth between the BX and the B. (yes I did look at the X585 amd Simplicity) Went with the B. So far so good. It's better than I would have thought. (then again I don't have many real tight areas on the lawn) After you learn to "take it easy" on the fast, hard turns and get a little lighter on the gas.
