Nice looking mods. I would also like to see where the hooks are on the BH buckets.

Thanks for kind word folks. Here are a couple of additional shots or her loaded for the trip home.

Hi KubotaToy

Since I already had added the auxiliary front hydraulics which I need for me snow blade and my hydraulic forks, I decided I might as well get the 4-in-1 bucket now as it was only $800 more versus paying arouond $2,200 later. I have never had one before but am spent a little time playing with it yesterday and it seems to work fine. I haven't tried grabing anything large or heavy yet (want to keep the paint looking nice a little longer) but it helped to clean up a pile of dirt.

One of the next items on my list is to get a grapple of some sort. There are so many different types and styles I am having a hard time deciding what would be best. I will be moving some brush and also many rocks and or boulders. Do you have a recommendation on a manufacturer or style?

Regards,

Lauren

Do you have a recommendation on a manufacturer or style.

66" wide Anbo Rock grapple. Bo Dozer also makes them.

Hi Mike

If you check out the thread below there are some photos of the hooks I used on my B26 which is the same style as what I have on the L45 except I had 1 tonne rated hooks on the B26 whereas I went for the 2 tonne ones on the L45. I will take some pictures later today of the hooks I welded on the L45 buckets.

The hooks I use are made by a Swedish company called Gunebo and are fairly expensive but I like them and get them at cost from a friend of mine. There are some other alternatives in the thread below that look as good and may be less expensive.

Thanks for the recommendation Mike69440. I recently purchased a Versatech HD grapple for $1,000 at a Ritchie Brothers auction. It is a 78" one which is a little wider than I wanted but the price was right and I intend to move mostly brush with it.

I purchased forks for my B26/L45 that are hydraulically adjustable via the front remotes and I find them great for picking up rocks. You can adjust them to whatever size rock you are about to pick up and the other nice thing I discovered is that one you place the rock you can usually just open the forks and back away. None of that tip the forks and hope the rock doesn't change position and slides off them.

Since I have the forks for rocks, I decided I could live with a larger grapple as it will be used for brush and constuction debris.

Regards,

Lauren

Congrats Laurin,

Nice photos of your equipment and accessories:thumbsup:
I'm only slightly jealous of all the add-ons:mad::laughing:
Noticed on post#13, that's an awfully big trench for such a small phone cable:laughing:....do I recognize that stone wall on post #17 from past discussions?
If your visiting family in North Bay, bring your tractor and we can post a competition for TBN:)
Long weekends approaching, my wife says get off the tractor **** and get back to work:laughing:

Great thread, keep us posted on upgrades

Best Regards,

Anthony

Thats a really nice machine. I wish I could justify getting a Kubota construction grade TLB, I'd settle for an old B21.

Hi Mike

Here are a couple of photos of the hooks I welded to L45 buckets. One shows placement on the 24" bucket and the second one shows how that position looks on the hoe. I try to keep them tucked in like that so the aren't getting dragged through the dirt every time I take a scoop.

Regards,

Lauren

Hi Anthony

Yes - you do recognize some of those rocks from a couple of previous posts. Here are a few shots of the wall as it now looks as well as the start of some new terracing I am doing on the opposite side of the ramp I graded to the upper part of our back yard. The new terracing is just to the right of the crumbling white garage that will be replaced in a couple of years.

I played hookey on Friday and went rock shopping in a gravel pit that fortunately for me is only about 10 miles away. I managed to bring home 37.45 tonnes (~41 tons for our American freinds) in about 9 hours with the L45, the F350 and the Mortiz 7 ton dumper. I have attached a couple of phots of the pit - the wall behind the truck and trailer is about 80 feet high and every spring there is a new collection of granite boulders to choose from. The other shot is of the current boulder pile which is about 200 feet long and 50 feet wide. Lots of beautiful rocks in that pile and I must confess that more than once on Friday I wished I had your M59 as a couple of my favourites were a little much for the L45.

I am not headed to North Bay this weekend as I am playing in the dirt and with my new rocks but we'll get up your way at some point this summer.

I hope your season is off to a good start!

Regards,

Lauren

Nice photos of the rock pit....near Elora? Is it active? It is very busy here this long weekend.....feels like summer, we are packed and the lake is busy with boat traffic!
Gotta go, coffee break's over:)
We'll talk after it settles down, keep posting photos

Lauren,

Are those hydraulic pallet forks I see? If so that's really sweet! You mind giving me the brand of them? I'd really like to put a pair on the wish list, I've been finding myself getting on and off a lot lately to make minor adjustments to the forks. Pushing a button sure would make it nice!
