My brother signed the papers for a DK35SE recently, it has the FEL, filled rear AG tires, and he ordered a 6ft. W.R. Long front mount snowblade which will be used on a 1/2 mile gravel road. He has operated a MF 35 for over 20 years, so this will be very new technology to him. I've cautioned him about FEL operation, and recommended rear ballast when using the FEL. What maintenace tips and operating tips would you suggest to smooth this transition? He will mostly be using the tractor for snow removal, very little "farming" in the traditional sense.

Nice choice.
I've had a DK 35 for 10 years. Its been an excellent tractor.
Operating this new DK will be a breeze compared to the older tractor.

He's looking forward to receiving the tractor, I halfway believe he will be camped out at the dealer until it arrives.:)

He will be having fun with his new toy. I went from a Ford 8n to a CK30hst. Newer tractors are so much nicer. Don't forget to take a picture of the grin on his face when he first starts to play with it. He'll get the feel for the operating and just follow the service as listed in the owners manual. I varied my engine speeds and didn't use full rpm until around 20 hours. I believe the number is in the owners manual. Even with filled tires, he'll need some rear ballast as you mentioned as he gets close to the max of the loader lift weight capacity.
