Though I've been silent, I've enjoyed your posts as well! Perhaps some people are not looking at posts with the same subject line, and are not thinking there is new info there?

Not a lot of seat time but got a few plants in. Also had time to level the shed out. Still need some mulch and rock but it's coming along.

Howdy Mayor,
I wanted to personally thank you for all of your great pictures and all of your excellent ideas that you have come up with. I really feel bad that I have not taken photos of mine yet. My ole camera will not upload the photos but I plan on getting a new one this next week. Since I got my 2305 I have dug out 10 stumps and have only one left that I am saving for this site. I absolutely love my 2305. Since I got it, I have totally repainted my storage building green and yellow all over! God willing pictures will be posted soon on building. Anyway keep posting your picks and ideas as I like others really value your ideas. You have one of the most read post on the JD owning website. Take care and God bless,
BigWes

Thanks BIGWES. I did finish the shed project. It really looks and works well in the new location. Looking forward to your pictures.

It looks darn good, Mayor, nice job! It does, however, look a little small to fit the FEL in while mounted. Do you keep it mounted or does it live elsewhere? It also looks like a tight turn to get in and out, especially with the FEL on. I'll assume the pic is decieving - it wouldn't make sense to build too small an area...

The tractor fits in the shed with the FEL on and the box blade set down The three point must hang over the box blade. Iam just 6 in short of having it all fit attached but its not a big deal. As for getting in and out I have no problem at this location. One on the main reasons I made the move was I have some arbs that I was killing everytime I pulled out with the FEL on. This other location was fine for my old JD LX280 but with the 2305 it was not a good set up. Looking to run power and a water line out to the shed. Just kicking the idea around. I do have a gen out in the shed for power if needed.

That's right, I remember those pics from the start of the thread now! The whole setup looks smaller on film than it must be in real life. And I always thought the camera added pounds... :)

Impressive parking with the FEL! I'm not that good at removing mine yet, it always seems to slide around on me or not be lined up exactly right. Any pointers?

I have placed another 4ft x 3ft strip of plywood under the bucket. As I remove the FEL I also place it by using the hydro. After its off I push the arms over by hand. It moves easy because the the bucket hangs off the plywood on both sides. I had to do something because the bucket was putting huge marks in the shed floor.

By the way I am not to bad with fitting all my gear in that little place.

Mayor; how satisfied are you with the location of the two hooks you put on the bucket? I want to do the same on mine, just wanted to make sure you are happy with where you put them?

If I had to do it again I would find larger hooks and line them with the loader arms. Mine do work fine and are holding up well but I have seen some larger tractors set up that way. I mover my shed (12x16) with them and a 10,000 lbs tow strap. Just make sure you hooked to both when under load. Can't remember if it was here or another site. A guy (Brett) from Greensburg PA had a larger JD with a cool set up. Will try and find a photo for you.

The other thing I would also changes is the PVC in my weight box. Steel pipe is the way to go but live and learn. Oh, never had a problem with the PVC.

Rookie, put your tractor in neutral and don't set the parking brake when removing/installing the FEL. This way the machine will move, and the loader will stay where it's at. Do set the brake, though, before you get off to dis/connect the hyd hoses! And don't worry, after about 10 times you'll be a pro at it!

Mayor,

Thanks for sharing the pics and info on your new 2305 and building....

Question .... In one pic, it appears you have a new JD 17P Utility Cart with wooden side panels. Did you make the wooden side panels to fit into the 17P Cart or "purchase" from JD? Thanks

I had some scrap wood left form my deck. This is a synthetic wood and will hold up longer then me. I used it on the side and even used it for the up rights but they broke after a few uses. PT wood for the up rights and the the rails are synthetic. Also it's a p10 or something, very small but I have had a lot of weight in it. With the FEL I find it more in the way then anything. Every so often I need to trim the shrubs etc and it holds more then the FEL for that kind of work.
