New Green 2305

Mayor, the pics look great. I am in the process of deciding between a 2305 and 2320. I think it will all come down to a toss of the coin. I like the light set up on your 2305. I was wondering where the switch is located. A picture would be great, I'm a visual learner. Did the dealer set that up for you? Do you have a rear light?

There is a lighting harness factory installed at the rear of the tractor. It's wired through the normal headlight switch. If the headlights are on, the worklights are on. JD says (in the manual for the lights) that the front lights are not compatible with the rear light. I have all three on my tractor and they "work" without blowing any fuses or anything, but I'm about to install a switch so I can toggle between the front and the back just to be safe. If you decide to install all three, you will have to wire one of the "Y" connectors backwards in order to get all the connectors hooked up.

Switch is the same for the lights.

I moved my lights from the top of the guards to the inside of the ROPS. At the same time, I suspended the one from the top of the ROPS (underneath) pointing forward and the other just inside the guard pointing back. Works pretty good. If I need more light forward, I can just turn the rearward facing light around. Having the lights at different elevations and attitudes seems to light up the area in front of ther tractor really well.

Loogie and I worked on this project. He has a few more pictures of his set up but here are mine. We ran a switched 12 volt powerport to the rear of the tractor. Both of us are using 12 volt sprayers (he has a cool boom system). This was run from the battery to the switck then to the powerport. Did not cut into any factory wires and used wire loom on the full run. Still working on my sprayer bracket to fit the iMATCH quick hitch (he had a custom carry all built). This sprayer mount as mocked up in PVC that I had laying around. The size of the tube is not right but I needed to see how it was going to work. This will be mounted to the sprayer and is not for anything else. I hope Loogie will post a few pictures his set up is really slick!!!

Also worked the last few weeks on getting the shed project done. Still waiting for the stone to be dropped off. Made some nice beds around the pad to plant some stuff. Also will help keep the soil in place and it is easy to cut around.

Good looking lawn! Maybe in 5 years my grass will look like that? Until then, I'll keep fertilizing the clay pond liner I call a yard...

Ran a test and it worked great. Also had a few seconds to add some paint. The only thing that has to be done is some sort of clip/pin to hold the sprayer and the 2in tube to the 1in tube rack. Not bad for a guy that can't weld or paint

One step closer to the end. 6 ton of rock is overkill but why not. Looks like Sat is the move.

After I spent a few hours getting everything out of the shed for the move I got a call that the guy was not going to make it and we would have to do it next week. Not wanting to do things twice I looked over at my 10x8 snowmobile trailer and my 2305. The shed is 12x14 and is really made well. I could not pick the one side up with the FEL. Used a tow strap, come along, jack, and a few brain cells to get it on the trailer. After 3 hours it was on. Then hooked up the 2305 and away we went. Two things I learned from this. 1, the 2305 is a great little tractor than can almost do anything. 2, never move a shed this large on your own. Spend the cash and get a pro to do it. This really sucked but I do like the new location. Just need some large rocks, plants and mulch.

Are my projects helpful or is no one out there. Thinking of just posting on another site!

Don't go anywhere...

Nice move, that location, pad, and shed look good! How the $#!! did you get a shed onto a trailer? Pro's have a big, honkin' winch, which I don't think you had. Am I wrong?

Just a 2305 and a triton snowmobile trailer. The trailer dumps so you can slide it on. I have a 1000lbs manal winch and a come along. Once I got it on it was easy to move it with the tractor. Had to be a full RPM, 4 wheel drive, and the diff locked. The 2305 was really working but did the job. I never saw a pro do it but I did use some PVC pipe to help slide it around. Let's see shed got to the new location with out any damage but I broke a new craftsman lowprofile jack ($200) and one of my old watercraft beach carts ($400). The max on the cart is 750lbs and it was like a truck ran it over then back over it again. Not a big deal, sold my skis to pay for the 2305 so the cart was going to be made into a dump cart. Will call and see if I can get parts for it. As for the jack, I can weld it to make the repairs. So I guess the move cost me more then I think but I did it myself.
