New garage time!

We've had Natural Gas at the first house, LP and Electric here. Present WH is Electric, but will replace it with LP if it dies before I do. We have a 1,000 gallon LP tank and use only around 450-500 gallons for heating.

Side note - A few weeks ago we left the house on a Tuesday and returned late Friday. I turned the power to the WH off before we left. Had to wash my hands when we got home and the water was still piping hot.

Right now i have a range extender on the back porch and inside the shop, and it's not nearly fast enough to handle the cameras, or even an HD stream.

I've heard good things about hte powerline adapters, but haven't tried them myself since the phone line days. Yes, they did exist when dialup was a thing. I've been told they have to be on the same circuit, or at least the same leg of the panel, to work. Again, untested.

That's why I'm running sfp+ between two switches. I have 6 cameras on the shop and inside, plus my firestick and laptop. So I'll be running 10gb sfp+ over fiber or copper
Are you running pre-terminated fiber or do you have means to terminate your fiber strands? I figured out a way to get to my shop doing an "end run" (out the other side of the house and around) that avoids the concrete between the house and shop. It is within the 100M cat5e distance limitation, but fiber would be better. If pre-terminated, where do you get custom length fiber?

EDIT: I found Landshack.com sells pre-terminated fiber AND with a pulling sock over staggered connectors. Nice.

I got into my tankless hot water heater to look around. It's exacxtly what I was hoping for. Flow control circuit, heating element, rheostat, and not much else. Perfect for something I can gut and repurpose for my needs. and $75 is a steal for it. Assuming it actually does 4500w.

Back to business and back in america., heating system will be another thread when it gets underway.

Ground anchors all installed, 1/2 wall anchors installed. Making all these brackets as I go. Each anchor is 1/2"x4" so it should have plenty of grab.

It was about 4pm, so they were pretty much done eating for the day. I should have taken it out at 7am, they probably would have cleaned it in an our with the rinds left.
