Wow I have been wanting to get some pallet racking for years. Your design looks pretty simple. I like! Any closer shots?

Kevin, used pallet racking is cheap and plentiful. Don’t build your own. Manufactured units have engineered load ratings, are adjustable and at the end of the day still have resale value.

I hope there's more than just the nails that I see in the one picture holding those shelves up, otherwise he may come back and find is implements all in a pile...

No offence to the OP but although you did a very nice build i feel it is unsafe to load or unload utilizing the forks on your loader.

Picture this scenario. You carefully place your palletized implement on the shelf. As you back up to withdraw the forks from the pallet, poor visibility causes the loader to put DOWN pressure on the entire shelf breaking the beams....

It looks a little weak to me. Add a double 2x4 across the front of the shelfs and add a 2x4 on the inside of the uprights cut under the shelf’s so it’s load bearing and it would probably be fine. Something like this is what I mean.

I value and appreciate your opinions so I will add some king studs to strengthen to help with the load. I first wanted 2x6’s but the added wood not allow for the implements to slide in due to the limited height reach of my small scut loader. The rear 2x’s are screwed into the 2x6 rear wall as well as I used 3” deck screws instead of nails.

That should help, I would do that front and back to make sure it doesn't collapse at either end.
You might also look at replacing your deck screws with structural lags, or through bolts. Either will be significantly increase the joint strength.

I'm wrapping this up after finishing my stone corners on my garage. (Stone masons must have hands of steel!)
Planted some trees, got my flagpole up and did some mulch. The last project will be the front walkway....for next year.

You'd never know I was a professional photographer but then I did use something better than a smartphone. :ashamed:
