New Bobcat CTL's

Bobcat is comming out with a new cab design for next year, some new machines are a T110 and a T380 rated over 100hp. Supposedly you will be able to order them with rubber or steel tracks Guess the T320 is a gonner and here comes the T380 Steel track No specs on the T380 yet tho other than it'll be over 100hp and have a Doosan engine.

Bobcat needs to improve their innovation with the skid steers. IR nearly bled them to death. Bobcat seemed to have lost their edge with new designs and innovations. Doosan has the ability to jump start them again. I have a S300 and it seems like it could use a little more muscle for the size.

I have an s330 stripped down to look identical to s300 with 12 x 16.5 tires and no counterweights. It is incredible how strong this machine is. I ran 3 (s300). 1 was a late 2005 G series and 2 K series and the power difference is very noticeable especially when running high flow, lifting, or pushing. I had my motor maxed out on RPM like the motor in the T320 (same motor) and I just can't say enough good things about it. I love the hand controls and the new display and interface. I sold a 2008 CAT 272c to get back to Bobcat and I am not sorry. Yeah, there are a few creature comforts that bobcat could work on but other than the seat being a little stiff compared to the new Cats, the machine is pretty comfy. I am curious to see what comes out. I have been told by reliable sources that the machines will be very heavy in the upper class but the room in the cab will be unmatched compared to other brands.

My personal thoughts are that I think it's a mistake to do the steel tracks and add all the weight to compact equipment. It defeats the purpose in my opinion. You only have so much torque and hp to move the mass..

I'd like to see 100 hp in a 9,000 lb machine. I'm getting net 85 in mine and it weighs, stripped with only a tooth bucket and AC and hulk tires 8,860 lbs. +/- a few. I had it weighed after I stripped the counter weights and added the hulk tires instead of the factory 17's.

I have a K series 2006 S300. No doubt a nice machine. Cab could be quieter especially at lower speeds. The hydraulic whine is more noticeabale at lower rpm. My tractor cabs are just quieter than skid steers and the cabs could be better. I have probably 400 lbs of extra rear end weight with my attached rear stabilizers and can attach another 800 lbs on the stabilizers if needed. The back is almost too heavy and I put 100 lbs of axle weight on the front. The other companies have caught up to bobcat and bobcat needs to lead again. I think cab design may be a good start. All machines should have power management capability. Optional rear rippers? New machines should be interesting.

I like my Bobcat Cab. I had the new CAT 272c and the cab was nice but no better than the bobcat cab and in fact had more areas that looked unfinished than the Bobcat cab. I have the speed management and like it. I agree all machines should have that. You really don't need it with sticks and pedals but for hand controls it's a must.

The T320 is 92hp and the 330 is 85 I also have a 330 that i turned up the pump not just rpm but fuel delivery etc and it makes more power than the 320 but in my case steel tracks would be better more traction and less wear. I am getting a new 299c Cat to demo as I am having some problems with the 320 and want to explore other options possibly, but the 380 is really interesting to me.

My dad has a Johndeere CT322 track skidsteer. Im only 13 but I run it around his ranch and use it on jobsites. I love the power you feel when you get in the cab. It seems that when tou push the trottle forward, the machine gets quieter. It is an open cab model and out lifts the bobcat T190. If it werent for me and the Johndeere Skidsteer smackdown, we would have got a bobcat or newholland. Before you try out the cat 299, check out the Deere CT332, it is a pretty strong machine. I cant imagine if Deere upgraded to a larger engine, their CTLs would out preform every brand. Very nice CTLs and Deere just added a new loader, the CT315!

The t110 is coming to dealers as we speak which is a good thing.. I spoke to someone and from what they have told me they out pushed a t140 with it. This t110 is going to something to really look at.. As for the new cabs there going to be on the new models coming out in the next few months i was told..

But the big thing is just yesterday they released some pictures of the brand new bobcat mini excavators. They look real good and they have features that no other mini excavators have

How do you like the big hulk tires in comparison to the originals. Could you post a pic?

Hulks or the equivalent blow away standard tires. I work in a lot of rock and they grip incredible and hold up. I can get over 2k hours on a set of tires! I'm at 1000 now and more than 50% tread left. One hole, plugged it. Run with slime instead of solid fill which is a smoother ride. I downsized from the 330's original 14-17's to the standard 12-16.5 so my machine looks identical to an s300 but it's a 330.

We have a t320 and it is a monster of a machine when it is not broke down, it likes to bend the tilt cylinder rods every 150-200 hours religiously, and we have to put a joystick in it about every 400 hours, the fan shrouds get hot and warp and make an annoying sound when it starts and stops, and now we are having problems with a 34-04 code saying deluxe instrument panel cannot connect to bobcat controller, and it will shut off immediately when it does it, sometimes it will run all day and the next time it will run 20 seconds. I like it WHEN ITS RUNNING! I would steer clear of these machines if you like reliability. We demo'ed a 333d Deere and it was way tipsy compared to the 320 and very noisy, demo'ed a 289c and it wouldn't come close to even trying to lift what the t320 does. I wish I could find a machine that would compare and be reliable
