I have the R14's on my B2601 and I really like them. Great traction on all surfaces, including snow. They're not bad on the lawn...as long as it is dry. They'll leave impressions if wet. I'll post up my impression on the L2501 R14's after some seat time.
Unfortunately, I probably won't really get any seat time in the L2501 until next week. We've been dealing with some heavy rain and more is coming tomorrow....

I suspect you will have similar results with the R14's on your new machine. At one time I was very interested in Nokian snow tires that are popular in Europe.... Then I got shell shocked with the cost.
For now, grooved R4's are getting my winter duties accomplished without chains, but those R14's are tempting.
