Need Used 1601D Radiator?

Hello! Everyone

I was wondering if anyone had a used (but in Usable Shape) radiator for a 1601D?
I've looked at the new ones from our sponsors but I'm on a fixed income and just can't afford the $300 for new.
Should I just have this one re-cored? I can have it done for $195 plus tax.

Hey Mike,

If it's indeed 'Re-cored' it's every bit as good as new, and way better than just roded out.

Used one, and you might be in the same boat.

Thought you sold that 1601 to you B-I-L??

Re-cored leaves you with old tanks and old fittings. You have to decide what is best for you. We no longer re-core at all.....we simply put on a new radiator if one is needed. 195 + tax (perhaps 7%?) is 209 plus 10 in gas to take it and get it is 219. 80 more and you have a new one.

Odds of finding a "good" used one would be very slim IMO.

Thanks Mark & LMTC for your replies, I did sell the 1601D to my B.I .L but he doesn't do the internet thing at all so he asked me too look around for him.

Hey! LMTC I think he's going for the recore as money's a bit tight for him too.
