Welcome to TBN--join the fun.
It's hard to help you unless you are more specific--what jobs do you want to do with these machines?

Yep.....hard to say what is best without knowing what you have planned.

If you are planning ALOT of loader work and dirt moving, cant beat a skidsteer.

But if just "some" loader work, but a lot of variety like mowing/bushhogging, dragging logs, tilling the garden, plowing/disking, you cant beat a tractor.

Sure, a SS will run a brush mower, but try doing a 10 acre field with one:confused2: And sure, a skid steer can be adapted to pull logs and such, but I think we can all agree that a tractor is better.

So it depends on your needs. Also keep in mind that the attachments (hydraulicly driven since no PTO) are a lot more $$$ for a SS.
