Need some help!!

I'm in the market for a mower and have little knowledge regarding mowers. I'm trying to decide what will best suit my needs. I will be mowing a 2 1/2 acre plot with a couple of trees and obstacles with a sloping terrain. I've been looking at a used JD 717 (300 hrs)for around $3500 or a couple of JD models GT, 430 diesel (1400 hrs). My budget is around 3500-4000 and I would love to find something that I can attach a plow, rear tiller and a rake to. Obvisously with the ZTR 717, it takes these options out of the equation. Any help would be appreciated.

Might be best to buy a compact or subcompact tractor. Some garden tractors have PTOs but usually have a cat 0 3 point hitch. A lot harder to find implements for. If you can't find anything suitable in your price range, you might want to look at grey market tractors. They come in sizes from 14 hp up to about 40hp, have a cat 1 3ph and are compatible with US implements. Since you have slopes try to find one with a wider stance and a ROPS just in case. You can get a nice one without a loader in your price range.
