How you feel the stability is on hill sides and cantilever positions, if you've ever had it in those situations?

I had a 500...Stability is incredible. As Dixie said..It will go where the ATV's go with no problem....I went though the woods with the neighbors following them on atv's...No problem and i did it with a snow plow on. Up hills, through streams etc at 2am. Yes there was a fire and beer involved.

It goes up any hill ...never had a problem there.

Nice multi use machine...Fast, no. A great overall use machine.

Very good, I never felt like I was going to roll or flip it over. It has a nice stable feel to it. The thing I liked best was narrowness of it, I can fit in standard atv trails with the 500 that I could not with the 900. The 500 is also ridiculously good on fuel, I don't know what the mpg actually calculates too but it's alot. At first you keep finding yourself looking in the tank with a flashlight because you think there's no way the gauge could be right but it is.

 Before or after your ride? My guess is both.:)

Also looked at Kubota RTV's. They only had a couple 1100 and one RTV500 in stock. I wanted to see the 900 but they had none. I'm already turned off at the diesel motor. Its the noise. Love me a diesel but this machine will be used a lot for hunting. Loud diesel coming through the woods....not sure I want that.

Out of idle curiosity, I checked the sound-level specs for the various RTVs. As measured (db(A)) at the operator ear with maximum engine speed and no load, they are:

500 -- 83
900 (General Purpose and Worksite) -- 87
900 (Utility) -- 89
1000 -- 83
1140 -- NA

I have a Kawasaki 4010 Trans Diesel that has been a real work horse for me. We have 11 acres that is very rough. The mule has amazed me hauling four people straight up the slope on the back of my property. I choose it over the kubota based on price.

Right now, I think I want the John Deere 825i or 625i. I haven't seen a 625i yet, nobody has one in stock. They look so much better than the Kubota IMO. My Kubota dealer offered to let me test out the 500 this weekend on my property. I may take him up on that offer. I really need to see how this performs. I have an older B7100 I may trade in on it to help knock the price down. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is the 500's payload and cargo box size. Love the small size of it for getting into tight spaces in the woods and such though. Ugh, I didn't run my brain wild when choosing a tractor.....

Can't beat that offer...you should talk to the JD dealer and see if they will offer you a trial as well then you can get a fair comparison for your needs.

I use my RTV 900 worksite for transportation while hunting around our farms, noise is not a problem.I mean they make noise but deer in a rural setting don't seem to mind for sure. Mine is used a lot more than we thought.Like most have said don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. We tested most brands it was down to the polaris and kubota for us and since we own a kubota tractor and are well pleased with it and our dealer, throw in the 0% interest and we have a new RTV900 worksite camo for over 3 months now. Have fun shoppinig and comparing please ask any question's.

I have the Kawasaki 3010 Trans 4x4 (2007 model. 2008 and up is 4010). I use it on our Christmas Tree farm for work, hunting and play. Added a hydraulic bed lift, Warn winch and skid plates. Bought it over the Kubota and John Deere due to price. I'll never look back. This Mule is a stinking workhorse from the word "Go". Gas engine....no problem. We had 24" of snow last year (all at one time!) and the Mule plowed through it with no problem (4WD engaged and diff locked). Really, I will only buy Mule UTV's from now on even though I'm a die hard Kubota fan. I own a Grand L3940 and bunches of Kubota implements. But when it comes to working UTV's, Kawasaki Mules are the way to go. Why spend more $ when it's not really getting you any more?
My .02$.

if your lookin for a utv to go hunting and go through really nasty places then i would get the rhino or t-rex. they have a good 4x4 system and they are very narrow infact i think out of all of them the rhino is probably the narrowest. i had a hpx and i have a rhino and to get around in the woods with close trees you can't beat the rhino.
