I could use some help. I decided to take the bull by the horns and rented a dozer a few weeks ago. I managed to get about 13 acres or so on my property cleared and windrowed. It's basically pine, sweet gum, and privet hedge that has taken over. The property has been logged over the years with the last time being about 8 years ago and hasn't been touched since. I bought it last July.

The land is basically flat. I rootraked as best I could with the dozer and dug out as many stumps as would give up.. Keep in mind I am a rookie /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's my question. There is a lot of post clearing debris and the land is gouged up pretty good from the dozer. I have a Mahindra 5500fwd with Fel and a grapple. I figure the grapple will help with the debris and remaining sapling roots but what implement will be best to smooth it all out after it's burned and cleaned up. Rear blade? Disc?

I hope to plant Bahia after it's all said 'n done. I appreciate any help you can offer.

two things: a chisel plow with spring loaded shanks for stumps and large roots, plow it both ways, then seed it, and second, roll over it with a cultipacker.

Thanks. I will look into both. I missed the similar thread in this section before posting.
