I have a John Deere Gator CS and would like to draw water from my pond into a holding tank and then drive it around to water my garden, trees and plants. John Deere makes a 45 gallon sprayer, but it doesnt show compatibility with the CS. I do have a 12Volt power plug in the Gator, and the bed is surely big enough for it. In any case, does anyone have the JD 45 gallon sprayer or can recommend an in bed ATV sprayer/waterer? The JD is like $650 while the Northern Tool 55 Gallon is $369. Can they draw water with the pump, or just pump it out. I need a solution.
Thanks.

All of the the 12V sprayers that I have seen have only discharge pumps.

How large is the area that you plan to water? It takes 0.62+ gallons to provide 1" of water to 1 sq. foot, so 45 gallons would provide 1" of water to less than 73 sq. feet.

How far is the pond from the areas to be irrigated? Have you thought about piping directly from the pond? If you don't have electrical service at the pond, you could use a PTO- or generator-powered water pump.

The pond is 600 feet from the house and electrical and about 150 feet uphill, and i did think about doing the pump but i dont think it will work into this years budget. We can make multiple trips to fill up if its hot or dry so area is not a concern, its only for trees, flowers and possibly some garden area. Options? Ideas?

Wait. All you want to do is fill up a tank from a reservoir that's not near electricity and then use this was to water trees on your Gator? All you need is a 12v powered "barrel pump" and a 55gallon barrel.

They watering itself would just be passive by gravity, but would likely be several gallons per minute. You could even attach a hose or pump the water out of the barrel with that same 12v pump.

You could do all this for under $75. Pump will be under 50, and barrel could be 10-20.

Something like this for your pump:

For your barrel, your best bet is Craigslist locally. Shipping a $10-20 barrel is usually cost prohibitive.

As for hose, I have gotten some from FarmTek online before, or just go Lowes and see what they have. Obviously you want a snug fit.

I think this is your best bet. I may make one myself. Let me know how it goes!
