Need a new headlight bulb for your Hinomoto?

Well, one of the bulbs in the headlights on my Hinomoto bit the dust this past weekend so I went looking for a replacement. It turned out to be a big mistake trying to get one from the local John Deere dealer. They might as well have told me to go to %$#@ when I showed them the old bulb and told them it was for a Hinomoto when they asked what kind of tractor it came from. A quick search here didn't turn up anything other than a report of some Massey dealer offering the whole headlight assembly for over $200. (Give me a break). After a few more minutes of searching, I found the Hinomoto uses the very same headlight bulb as Yanmar tractors and several others I suspect.

Ordered a couple for Hoye Tractor Parts for $5.99 each. Shipping was a little pricey ($8) but hey, what can you expect when having them delivered to your door.

If you could, would you post a picture of the bulb? I would like to know if it is the same bulb on the tractor I have now.

Anyone interested send me an email LMTC@tds.net and I will email a pdf document to you with the light bulbs we have available; there are descriptions and line drawings of the bulbs. Please put "Headlight Bulbs" in the subject area of the email. Applications we have listings for are Yanmar and JD....if you can make them work elsewhere, go for it (and let us know.....we'll add that application to the catalog if we can document it).

Part number shown on my invoice for these bulbs which are an identical match for those in my E2304 are LB-4550/LB-4151.

Here is the link to the website where I was able to identify the bulb by it's base type. My old bulb matched the base type shown at the top. Hope this helps you identify a local source for replacements.

You would think that they would all use a standard bulb. But, it may be because they don't want anyone to go to the auto parts place to get them. These strange bulbs aren't normal in Japan are they?

Don't know. Do know we drove ourselves nuts early on trying to match up replacements from common US bulbs. Couldn't do it.
