How are you folks fairing in New England? Just curious as to the hit we may take tomorrow.
We are on the coast so it could be snow, snow and rain or rain depending on the track and temperature.

I am well prepared. No reason to go any where - although the wife may have ideas - looking forward to playing - working a bit in the snow.

Just light snow now. Location North East Vermont. Not really expecting too much. Seems to be a coastal storm.

We have about 3 inches of snow on the ground here,however its +5C and raining quite hard now,I suspect when the rain stops later today there won't be any snow left to plow.

PS.....I'm on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Started here about 8PM last night, light-ish snow...

This AM when I got up at 5, quite a difference! Coming in sideways from the north. My tractor, in it's north-facing semi-sheltered space, is already covered with snow and I haven't even started it yet!

Hard to tell snow amount; just went out to feed chickens, and stepped through places that had been scoured by wind, only 6-8" deep; other spots it was up to my knees.... and still coming down.

Let's see... 17F, 25-mph wind.... (anyone follow the "wind chill" discussion?:laughing... It's cold out there!

One of those times a plow might make a lot more sense than a blower! Oh, well, ya works with what ya got....

Good luck in Nova Scotia. Serious winds blowing inland, here in northern maine. I would assume, it'll be worse out there.

We might have gotten about a foot last night, not sure haven't gone out to check yet. Right now it is hard to tell if it is snowing hard or just the winds blowing up the show on the roof and ground.

Wind just let up for about 10 seconds and it is reallay snowing, must be an age thing, I am not excited...

Winds are gusting to about 30 mph and it is nasty out there. Sure I can wait until later in the morning to fire up the tractor, pretty nice sitting here next to the woodstove drinking coffee and enjoying the TractorByNet....LOL

Same here (which is only slightly south of you). I might go out and do the stairs but driveway waits until snow is over.

We received enough snow to make it miserable. Not enough to plow or blow. 5 miles in land they received about 4" and probably more as you head from the coast. It is around 38F now.

Oh well....

We got about 8" in Plainfield NH so far. Its still snowing a little but the wind is strong enough to push the snow around into drifts. I finished up clearing snow around 9am and expect to do another pass tonight to clean things up. Looks like winter finally.

Everyone stay safe - I'm about an hour SW of Washington DC near the Blue Ridge and we were supposed to get about 10" or more originally. Storm tracked much more eastward than expected and we got nothing. Those along the coast and beaches got it instead. We sure got the wind gusts though!

Same here, since I'm maybe 30 miles north of Wayne. We are on a hill, so it feels more like 50 mph winds. I did the driveway earlier, along with my neighbor's...... and alot of what I've done has drifted back in with the wind. We've had the power go out a couple times, but thankfully it has come right back on. Plenty toasty inside since the woodstove is on cruise control :thumbsup:. Took the dog for a walk an hour ago, and trudged through some drifts and snowbanks that were nearly waist deep.

Storm total about 30", give or take. Winds still gusting around 30, I'd say. Miserable at about 18 degrees. 12/27/10 5:30 PM.

Let it snow, tractors are locked in the garage, house is winterized. I'm spending the winter in the Philippines this year, probably off to Manila in the next day or two. Nothing but heat and sand here, cold showers even feel good.

Farmington,ME near us reported 15" total. The snow is just about over with now but still very windy. Winds out of the West at 20-30 mph forecast for tomorrow, but sunny.

I cleaned out the drive this afternoon so my son and DIL could get out and head for home near Boston. It was blizzardy and not much fun. We've had 25-35 mph winds all day and steady snow.

The new snow blower seemed to work pretty good based upon what little I could actually see happening

just did a quick snowblowing job. Sometimes you could see, sometimes not. Glad i put 2ft reflective tape on the stakes.
