MY2012 5085M ordered today!

How wide is your grapple? Looks to be pretty big! Be easy to get ahold of more than you should...

Last night, our local hay Co-op received half of our 88 ton order. I unloaded 22 tons of it with the 110TLB. Picking those ton bags from the straps at the top of the semi-trailer was all the 110 could do! 'Course the loader was nearly at the top of the boom cylinder lift, too. Had to use the curl to clear the bottom off the pallets.

Unloaded the second trailer (22 tons) with the neighbor's 5425. No weight in the tires and just ~400lb wheel weights... oh, oh! One of the neighbor's started out unloading before I got there and grabbed a bag and left the load high while turning - darn near tripped the tractor onto it's nose! :shocked: Dropped the 1 ton bag onto the ground and puked fertilizer all over!

Nonetheless, they didn't want to operate the tractor anymore after that; so, I started using it. The 542 NSL loader didn't impress me a whole lot. I stalled it into relief trying to lift a bag over the fender on one of the trailers. My 110 did just as good (or better).

I have never been impressed with buy 542 SL on my 5525....

I really like the loader suspension system on my New Holland. I have a Stoll F8 loader on it ( self leveling) and I really like it. I am going to miss it when I sell it which I hope is this year. I'm stepping down to a 4520 as I am down sizing and the NH is just too big and heavy. The NH lives at the farm in TN. The JD is at the dealer and I hope to pick it up in a week. I am considering adding an accumulator to the 400cx. Having a shock absorber on the loader makes it that much more comfortable.

It is really nice hauling hay over pastures.

I have it on my 5525 with 542 SL.

It would be recommended to get that parking stand actually you should be forced to have it.. If not its going to stay up do they expect you to put it put it down like a bucket in the fully dumped position? That would be hard to put back on. Pain to look at look at it and think "Shi*... I have to put that back on?

Better not tell me that next. Ordering from the Germany plant is a pain.. Darn little gremlins working at that factory. Those truck drivers too!

I hear you! Just called my dealer for an update. It was supposed to ship yesterday, and Augusta, GA is only 7 hours from my dealer, so I was hoping it might show up today. Now the dealer is saying the computer shows "released" status is scheduled for the 4th. So now it looks like next week before I'll get my hands on it. This is killing me!

That is a bit aggravating... But, you can just step outside and walk over the hill a bit and - take out all that frustration on the shed addition!! :thumbsup:

Don't think the forklift would have worked very well in the dirt, mud and tire ruts at the farm we unloaded the last tractor-trailer!

One of the neighbors has an older, Deere forklift (2WD) that's rated for 7,500lb... but it won't even lift itself - when it's stuck! :laughing:

Nice to see you're still "out and about"! Well... we have all seen the differences between how some folk's "work and maintain" their equipment!

At one time, that JD 5425 was a real sweet tractor! Not so today.. it's been worked hard and put up wet!

Same tractor that I wrote about several years ago that had been rolled onto it's side while feeding big round bales during the winter.

Ain't been treated any better since then... I wouldn't give 'em $20k for it right now! Clutch is going and it needs tires all around and the loader has been beat to **** and the 3pt arms are busted! Looks like somebody backed into something and destroyed the right side lift arm, etc on the 3pt.

Just amazing what you can do to a $50K machine!

It doesn't work well! Mine works alright in hardpacked areas. Once you spin your done. Dealer said tractors are here I'm going soon!

Ok, the race is on Edward! Just stopped by my dealer and picked up all the "dealer installed options" for my tractor, and he said that they had been invoiced for my tractor, which means it has shipped. It should show up either later today, or tomorrow for sure. (Ok, there is no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to deliveries, but I'm trying to say positive!)

I got mirrors, fuel tank skid plates, EH right fender control, 2 sets of aux lights, brake light kit, PowrReverser modulation kit, oil collection system and power beyond kit.

Oh yes it is Christmas! I got my toy too, well its only at the dealers, but not much longer it will be at the farm! They say tomorrow, I will also be getting 10 front weights with it complementary.

Showing differences of the 6430 Premium and 6420. Both taken today.

I did get extra 3 years on the warranty totaling 5 years warranty with 2000 hours. Which ever comes first.

6969 on the back of the tractor? Its the serial code with some other numbers upfront. And no its not 696969.
