My main concern is the access from the front as the driveway coming in is quite a bit higher than where the apron will be.

Yeah, you might have water where you don't want it to be..

Now that's a great looking a blade! My 7 Foot Economy blade that I have doesn't look as good as yours! My salesman is trying to hook me up with a loaner too now! I hope all goes well with the little NH

NH is doing great but doesn't have much low end grunt. Stalls out rather easy compared to the 6405 until you get the RPMs up.

Picked it up from a guy in NC for $1200 when I went down there to deliver the 4700 to its new owner. Spent about another $400 at Surplus Center getting new hoses, fittings and relief valves. I repainted the blade and might do the rest of it once I get the pole barn up. Even got a fresh set of stickers from Woods to put on it when I'm done. Also had to invest in that plate for the angle feature, and of course a 3rd cylinder for it. I was able to get tsc to price match agrisupply's price of $119 for the 3.5x16 cylinder, which is what Surplus Center charges, only I saved on shipping and got the exact same Grizzly model as the offset and tilt cylinders.

I was curious about the pressure relief valves... were you trying to ensure that the cylinders wouldn't be over-pressured by the M's normal psi range?

Are the cylinders rated for less than 3,000psi?

They look pretty cool and make the layout of the hoses and cylinders real clean.

Cylinders are rated for 3000 psi. The relief valves are set to 1600 psi. They are used in case I hit an obstruction with the blade. This way, instead of bending a rod, the relief/cushion valves will allow the cylinder to move as needed. They are on the angle and offset cylinders. The tilt cylinder doesn't need one. Woods specifies the need for these on their RB850 blade. The previous owner didn't have them, but I figured it was worth it to add them to my order with Surplus Center and they help with the hose routing and the bosses to mount them were already on the blade frame.

I was wondering what where those hoses were connecting to other than the tractor, it looks really good. I bet its a real solid bloade. My dealer kind of wants to let us use a 7330 Premium IVT / AutoQuad my choice for 8 engine hours. , Or a New Holland TM 140 that's used of course, they don't have loaner for me for a longer period of time other than that New Holland.. Which way should I go? Get the new holland or get the JD I'm trading land 27.5.acres for 27.5. The land I'm getting is a higher sea level so I can start work. Probably going to do is plow it then disk spread manure then disk again then spread some fertilizer and go over it with the C250.

I'd get the 7330 and unhook the hour meter once you get close to 8 hours. :laughing:

Makes me wonder if it is a coincidence that both of the loaner tractors I've had do not have working hour meters.

So should I get the 7330 or NH TM 140? I would use the 7330 on the manure spreader..

Did you make a decision on which one to get?

Made good progress on the pole barn today, especially since I had to go to an Easter Egg hunt with the family in the middle of the day.

I started out drilling the 6 24" holes for the 6x6 posts with my Shaver post hole digger. I got to try out my hydraulic down force kit for the first time.

Unfortunately, I didn't have everything on-hand to install the relief valve, so I just connected it directly to the remote on the tractor. It worked great at first, so great in fact that I kept shearing the shearing bolt until I switched to grade 5 bolts. On my last hole, I gave it a little too much down pressure, and I broke the bracket on the tractor end.

I'll be getting the missing fittings and installing the relief valve with the new bracket. I had all new teeth on the auger too, but the ground is so incredible hard that there was no way I would have been able to dig those holes without the down pressure kit. Completing that last hole required using the tamper bar every few minutes to loosen the soil.

Here's a shot of the 6 completed holes:

I then added a few inches of gravel to the bottom of each hole.

Bottom of holes are about 45" below where the finished floor will be.

Then it was off to Lowes to pick up a pallet of cement, 6 6x6x16 posts, lag bolts and misc lumber for bracing.

I then installed 5/8" x 6" lag bolts at the bottom of the posts.

Getting ready to raise the first post.

And it's standing.

Posts closest to shop have been plumed and braced.

Time to start mixing the cement.

1st pole took 13 80# bags.

2nd pole took 14 bags.

And that's it for today. I hope to get the remaining 4 poles set tomorrow.

Lookin' real good! The picture of the augered hole leaves little doubt about the hardness of the soil... whoa! The side walls were polished and smooth!

I bet that was a pretty good POP when the brace snapped. The flaked paint tells a story...

Thanks for the pictures, pclausen. That view is downright glorious! Stayin' home and workin' around the place would be just fine.. just fine.
