Man that is super nice, I see you have a seat for your dog to ride on. Does he know it yet? Never saw a German Shepherd that didn't like to ride:laughing:
Just different mounting position on the rims. I don't want the sidewalls to be out further than the fender extensions.how are you going to set the wheels out, Axle extensions or just going to a different mounting position on the rims?
None that I'm aware. The original date was 5/14 and it came in just a little earlier than that. My dealer started checking his system about once per week once we got into mid April, and let me know when the status changed. It sure would be nice if JD started offering on-line tracking for customers!was there any way for you to track your order on line so you could get a status update without badgering your salesman.
I looked at that, and its going to be real tight, especially the bolt positioned towards the back, but that is what I'm planning to try tonight. Can you get to the three bolts that mount the joystick assembly? If so, maybe you can leave the trim cover on and remove the complete joystick.
Yes it would ,and you would think that it would save lots of salesman's man hours by letting the customer that has already committed to a sale do his own checking. All it would take is a read only site page where the customer entered his order number.Just different mounting position on the rims. Well, that didn't work. Those bolts are super tight. With a deep socket and extension over a 13mm wrench, I'm flexing the wrench and not loosening the bolt. Too tight to get a 1/2" drive 13mm socket on them without interference from the side panel that I'm trying to remove.I looked at that, and its going to be real tight, especially the bolt positioned towards the back, but that is what I'm planning to try tonight.
Thanks Ak. I was wondering what happened to you. :laughing:Very, very nice machine - pclausen! Congrats!Really like that corner post exhaust!
We've been out of town for the past 4-5 days for a Clayton Anderson horse clinic. Missed all the goin' on's here!!
Thanks. I'll try a wood block and a mallet to pop them off then.I bought the std dust covers for my 6415. I used a rubber malle to tap them on, so you should be able to tap them off from behind, they are just a tight fit.
Outside edge to outside edge is 79" with those 13.6R24s. This is already wider than my bucket which is 73", so I plan to leave the fronts alone. What width are your front tires at? I set the fronts on the 6415 to position 8, 71.3" since JD says 71" is the maximum settting for a loader.
Not yet, but the dealer just emailed me a pdf of the horn harness, so hopefully I'll be able to track those wires down tonight.Have you found the horn wires you need yet?
I hear you, when I took the instrument panel apart on my 4700 after 12 years, it was amazing what it looked like behind the cowl cover.Must be nice to work on a clean machine. You would not believe the dirt/dust I found when I pulled the side panel to the right fender mounted console.
That just might do the trick! Will see about picking one up today. Will an offset ratcheting screw driver work for the joystick cover screws?
pclausen said:After doing a bit of googling, I think the roll mode switch is to toggle the digital display between:
Ground speed
Engine rpm
PTO rpm
Clock/Time
Hour Meter
Once I get the rest of the elctrical work down and hook the battery up, I'll actually be able to use the tractor and verify this.
