Most truck stops have both #1 and #2 diesel. My local truck stop even has a separate lane for smaller vehicles such as pick ups and tractors.

Here's one option to keep fuel filters from gelling up. It's actually a NOS (Nitrous) bottle heater but works just as well on fuel filters. I have seen a couple of people use these on fuel filters that were having cold weather problems.
