I'm back in the TC showing my house that I listed on my local MLS. But while I've had my tractor over at the lake house, I've using it to clean up windfalls, while noticing seemingly endless numbers of standing dead trees I should take down.
This week I knocked out an engine oil change on my tractor, but haven't had the time to look into the range shift linkage. Inspecting the linkage isn't going to do much anyway as there isn't a spec listed for adjustment, and so I'm really waiting for the transmission to pop out of range again so I can see if it seems to pop out in one direction only which may help figure out if I should adjust the linkage one direction, or if there is a gating issue inside the transmission itself. If it winds up in the transmission, I'll focus on replicating the problem on purpose so a Kioti dealer can "see" the problem without the machine working under a load.
As I shared elsewhere, I had a cable contractor problem yesterday.
I was leaving for town yesterday but stuck around to watch the cable contractor put in cable for the internet. Here is the exact moment the cable company contractor hit the septic line for the
second time in as many minutes. Because everybody needs to use a 17,000 pound vibratory plow to put wire 12" into the ground.
Meanwhile, 80 feet away, here is how my septic guy and I discovered the septic tank: the entire transfer pipe has gone AWOL, having been ripped out by the subsoiler and taken for a ride when in the first three feet of working the cable company contractor nailed by septic lift line which was right were I told them it was and warned them about it being shallow.
My septic guy, Dave, from Backhoe Pete's came to my rescue with 80' of 2" ID well casing and rigged up a temporary transfer line so my 89-year-old mother can run water while I am out of town.
