Modified Stump Grinder

Thought you PT'ers might want to check out the modified PT stump grinder that I mated up to my Magnatrac backhoe.

Pix are posted in the "build it" forum under subject "Stump Grinder".

The grinder uses the hyd motor and cutter wheel from a PT 425 stump grinder. The Magnatrac has similar hydraulic PTO capabilities as the PT 425 machine, so all I had to do was build a bracket to attach it to my machine.

Wow! That thing has some reach mounted on the end of a back-hoe! Seriously, watch out for the flying debris. Mine has bounced a few rocks off my head a time or two...(luckily, I happened to be wearing a cheap hard-hat I picked up from Harbor Freight... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif)

Nice work, John! Now, figure out how you could turn the stump grinder into a chipper/shredder, and I'll bet you could take quite a few orders from some of the PT owners! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
