Buying Advice Model change?

Looking at L series I notice:

L3410 1998-2002
L3430 2003-2007
L3540 2007- present

Does this mean we are due for a new L series?

If so, any (serious) suggestions on what this new model may sport in features?

I have tended to buy final model year (bugs worked ...or at least identified) instead of first year of a new model.

Nice to wait for new model announcement and look for rebates to clear old stock.

Waiting seems to be the hardest part at this stage without a timeline for when the next change might occur.

The 40 series has had 3 revisions since it came out. Mine is a L5740-3. Somewhere there is a thread that explains the differences. There is an emissions change effective 2013 so there have been rumors that's when the new major upgrade will come, but because it is emissions related it is likely to have a significant price hike like they are doing on the Grand M's.

pretty much everything right now is simple emissions changes. I don't expect to see much in terms of new product design until all these tractor comapnies finish going though all this.. thats in 2014.
