I am very very interested in the “Middle buster” where did you get it and about how much $$

please post some pictures. I have a project coming up that it might be perfect for.

Does anyone in this forum also have one ? What size tractor do you need to pull it ??

Thanks everyone.

I own a middle buster. I use it on my Jinma 224. I purchased it about a year ago at Tractor Supply Co for about 100 bucks plus tax. That was last year and steel prices are up so keep that in mind.
It works real well for quick drainage ditches. Can make a 8" deep ditch for rain run off. I hear a lot use it for potato furrows but drainage was my intentions.

Its a potato plow,,use one to plow,,,what else,,,my potatoes!!!!!good for,,,other such root crops,,,,,,,,,one thing,,,wish I'd a got the potato plow with the other thing,,,whats it called????dirt ripper or somthiong,,,mighta coulda used it,,,but the potato plow will work just as well this fall,,,[need a set of plowes],,,noticed there is getting to be a very hard pan under tilled earth,,about 6- 7 inches,,,going to use 5 gal of desil this fall with potato plow to dig down deeper,,,[thats a lot of potato plowing],,,,,,but those ripper things that replace the plow would probably be better,,,,less mess,,dirt plowed up,,,etc,,,,,,,just a thought on that,,,,what is it called???? thingy

If you got the one from tractor supply/thats where I got mine , they sell the chisel attachment that bolts on where the shovel head unbolts from. Cost was $17.... Off the top of my head I can't recall what it's technically called OH! it's a "Sub Soiler" /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif but if you look on the Northern Tool website you'd find the name & a picture...

Thanks everyone, I wish we had a Northern Tool supply out in Oregon. All of the local implement dealers think that their implements are made out of pure gold !! I had one dealer quote me 1600.00 for 4’ rotary mower that had been sitting in the rain for a bout a year. The potato plow would be fun, but the guy I called says that he gets 275.00 for them and he is out until next spring.. I guess I will have to call Coldwater tractor and place an order if he even carry’s them, unfortunately they are a days drive and $85.00 gas away. Does anyone know if a reasonable priced medium quality implement source in the Portland Oregon area exists ?

Thanks again

Scott

No way dude,,,[learned that from my daughter],,,listen,,,a potato plow shouldn't cost you more than 100 -150 bucks!!!****,,you could probably order one from northern tool and supply and only pay 50 dollars or so shipping,,,,look around,,,,kingkutter is a good brushog,,,I think you can get a five foot one for about 600-700 dollars,,,,I got a 5 ft tiller [kingkutter] last year for 1,000 dollars,,,prices ain't went up that much,,,,,you just got to look around,,,yeah,,,they sell them 2,000 dollar brush hogs,,,,,but unless you are making your living off them who the @#$$ needs one,,,and there's used stuff too,,,should try it out first,,,or have them show you it works,,,but,,,,,,,,,,,,thingy

Do you have a Tractor Supply in the area? Might want to check their website to see where the closest one is... They have the best price I've found for King Cutter. I think they/King Cutter make pretty good Happy Homeowner grade atachments. Not knocking it... 75% of my attachments are off brand Happy Homeowner grade/work FINE for me.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Were I making a living off the attachments/working the stuff 40-60 hours a week I'd look at other brands..

I'm surprised that there aren't implements available in your area, lots of grey market tractors come through up there. I wonder if there is local auctions where you might pick something up.
