Match tedder to drum mower

Hi,

I have a Zetor 185 (6 ft) drum mower and am in need of a new tedder. I am looking at a Galfre GTS280. My question is will it ted two windrows left by the drum mower which should be 6 feet apart with the windrows straddling each 6 ft space between windrows. I just don't know how wide the windrows themselves typically are. It's really too wet here or I would just hook it up and test it.

The specs on the tedder say 9' 3" working width, but I think that includes the guards. The transport width is 8'3" which is probably the actual width of hay it would pick up.

I'm going to say yes, use a 2 rotor tedder here (8' 6")and it will do two swathes from a 5 disk mower (6' 9")

Swathes lay flat and you can get it all if you drive just right. If you get off course you will miss some on the edges.

If you are putting out a windrow dead center with your mower probably will do it easy.
