Hi I have a 24 hp B & S,with Nikki carb,what would happen if you took the gas shut off solenoid off and put a plug were it was,thanks for the information,lukinjohn

The engine will likely "diesel" after the key is turned off .

It will backfire when you shut it down for one thing, the way it is now it has to open to allow fuel in also.

No problem, if you eliminate the valve, which I wouldn't, you will need to provide a way to cut the fuel off when you shut down the engine.

Hi Toppop52,,will order new one,must stick,once and awhile have checked it if I put 12volts to it it works most of the time but sometimes it doesn't open ,running now,thanks for the help Louie
