So for my tractor the forks need to be Universal skid steer mount and lite correct?

You need SSQA forks matched to the published lifting capacity of your FEL.

My SSQA pallet forks came from everythingattachments.com. If EA shows a lifting capacity of 2, 000 pounds, they claim their forks will withstand a 6,000 pound load before deforming. While the lifting capacity for the forks is a "static" number, the 6,000 pound number would include transient loads, which can spike substantially higher than static loads. (( Other producers may or may not meet EA's standard.))

When first applying lifting force to a near capacity FEL lift, transient force spikes.

When digging under tree roots with pallet forks, something not uncommon, with rear tractor wheels only lightly in ground contact, transient force will spike considerably.

When transporting loads over rough ground, transient forces spike with every bump and hole encountered.

I recommend minimum 2,000 pound rated SSQA pallet forks to you.

This is the first tractor I have owned.

I will l see what kind of front hay spear I need to get.

With a bare weight of 2,884 pounds your LS XG 3135H will not be stable enough to move round bales, which run to 800 to 1,200 pounds dry, SAFELY on the FEL.

Round bales protrude far in from to the FEL, so leverage works against you and contributes to tractor instability.

It requires a tractor of 5,000 pounds bare tractor weight to lift and transport round bales SAFELY on FEL, piloted by an experienced operator.

Note that in Tomahawk's Bale Spear verbiage Tomahawk only advises their bale spear for a (rear engine) skid steer, (front engine) tractor is conspicuously absent due to liability concerns regarding compact tractor instability.

You can move round bales safely with a 2,884 pound tractor using a Three Point Hitch mounted bales spear, but you cannot lift bales more than a few inches.

The salesman didn't tell me that part. I will stick with the forks on the front. I just need them for moving materials around the farm. Nothing much more than a few hundred pounds.

As far as other attachments go for digging new fence post what size of post hole digger do you recommend?

Thanks again, Don

I am in the Missouri Ozarks so my ground is a little rocky, has some clay but for the most part is easy to manage. A friend of ours helped put the fence in when we moved in last year and didn't have much trouble. Now we are expanding and our friend now lives 150 miles away. The biggest post is probably 10 inches round and it is hedge.

Are Clamp on Pallet Forks worth the money or should I be safe and go with the mast as well?

Go with SSQA pallet forks.

300 pound bucket is eliminated as part of pallet fork lift. SSQA fittings weight 125 pounds. 175 pounds increased fork lift.

SSQA forks attach close to the pins, increasing lift capacity.

With SSQA pallet forks your fork lift capacity will increase 400 pounds or more, relative to bucket clamp on forks.

Soon you will want to move dead trees.

You cant lift much with clamp on forks they stick to far out and might bend your bucket. The farther out the less you can lift. You could get a 12'' auger, You could look on cl for a post hole digger

How many fence posts? 100's? 1,000's?

Consider steel T-posts if fence will be wire.
