That is a nice looking setup and practically new. From what you have said it doesn't sound like it has had much use. About the plastic hood and fenders, nothing wrong with them and the plastic is not a cheap solution either. You mentioned that it looks almost showroom condition and plastic helps with that.

Plastic = no dents, no rust. But it can be scratched, cracked, and broken.

Zebrafive,
I agree with your post and recommend that people be careful with their investment as you can damage both steel and plastic hoods and fenders. One may dent and one may crack and both will scratch, anyway you look at it repairs are costly.

The key to keeping a piece of equipment looking it's best and lasting the longest is investing in a quality workshop or building or at least a pole barn to keep it from Mother Nature! A brand new piece of equipment if left outside long will look much older than it actually is not to mention the rats and birds attacking it! Plus the UV rays from the sun won't do the plastics/fiberglass any good!! Gotta put our toys back in the box!!!

She will be in the garage. My old 970 would not fit bc of the solid ROPS but Im glad the 4710 has a folding ROPS!
