I have a lucknow 78" Pull type on my Compact and it works great. Super heavy duty and it weighs a lot. It hangs way off the back of the 3 pt arms. I would stay away from the small pull types (like 5 footers) because the arms are super short to keep the weight close to the tractor, making the driveshaft angles pretty extreme.
The wider the better to get close to buildings.
They are for routine snow removal (daily in my area) Not for opening up roads in the spring.
Driving over the snow is a non issue. and a bucket full of wet heavy snow helps with front tire traction.
Remeber if it ever got that deep you still have the loader on the front to pick away at it, and a lot of weight on the back.
I have a front mount that never goes on anymore due to loosing the loader all winter, and the amount of time it takes to put on.
