Is this the right place to ask log splitter questions? I did not see a seperate section for them.

Probably "attachments" is more appropriate but I wouldn't worry too much. If you post in the wrong area the forum police don't give tickets. Just ask your question :)

Wrong place, they have very strict rules and will throw you off the forum. I joke, this is as good as any place.

I have an older Tractor Supply Huskee brand splitter that i seemed to have worn the hyd. pump out of. bought it used quite a while ago ( about 2010 ), there are no stickers or manual with it. I think it is a 22 ton splitter, the pump on it looks like a MTE brand according to the research i have done on it. It has a 6.5 hp briggs engine on it. How do i tell what gpm this pump is? there are no markings on it.Also can it be dis-assembled and rebuilt? any suggestions? Maybe a place to look for info or an exploded view.

This might work.

With the 6.5 hp engine a 11 gpm pump would be standard. Generally the pumps used on splitters are not rebuildable due to lack of replacement parts.

Many of the low HP splitters like you have with 6.5hp have a 11gpm pump. My splitter has 10.5hp and has a 16gpm pump. A small engine won't pull the bigger pump.

Yup, 11gpm 2-stage.

And they are cheap to buy the whole pump....so it usually dont make sense to try and rebuild. Unless its something simple like a leak at the shaft. But a "worn" pump.....even if you could find replacement parts....it would likely cost more than a whole new pump
