I'm looking at the Markham LD grapple for my JD 790 with a JD 300 loader (recently acquired...). I am ignorant about the hydraulics - there are only the four lines to the front... do I need a fifth for the grapple? and how much trouble is it to add? Thanks
Depends on your mechanical ability. I bought a WR Long third valve kit for my FEL and it took me a full day to install (I didn't rush) and I really like it. Kit is ~ $6-700. Dealer might do the job for ~$950.
Buying the grapple is the easy part. Adding the hydraulic circuit is where all the "fun" is.
