Seems the T8 shoplights for the $12-15 price have disappeared. One of mine went out, and come across an LED shoplight at Menards for $25.99....with 11% rebate, $23.13.

Since I couldn't find the T8s, I bought it. It puts out the same light a 2 bulb shoplight does, no more or less. So an FYI for anyone interest in getting an led shoplight. It's about as cheap as I've seen for an LED one.

I saw those, that's a one row of led type light, and is not the same lumens as a T8. The Menards has 3 rows of leds.

That $12 to $15 price was the intro price to get you to install them. Now the real price comes out.

The 8' high outputs are noticibly brighter than others. So which saves more baby pegiuns? You need more of the 4 footers.

The old fashioned 8 footers have more light., the 110W HO, is the wattage I think. Getting to be less and less of them. Magnetic ballasts were repalced with electronic. But I do notice the difference. I bought a box, so I don't have to worry about government telling me how to light my barn. You can still buy them at Menards though. 8' bulbs may to be big for men that don't have real trucks. Ha.

I have tried different lamps and different calvins. I don't have any LED strip lights yet. One of these will give them a try.

I have 4' two lamp florescents in my bathrooms, kitchen, and utility room. I just converted the master bath to LED. I purchased a pair of 18w, clear tube, 6000K, single row, LED bulbs off that auction site for $15 shipped. It lights my bathroom up much brighter and whiter than the 40w cool white florescent bulbs ever did. The wife loves it so I'm happy. And no more ballast buzz!

I also have some 4' flush florescent fixtures in my dining and living room. My next conversion test is the dining room. I bought a pair of 18W, white tube, 3000K, single row, LED bulbs for that. Cost was $17 for the pair. Just arrived today so I haven't installed them yet.

My first order they shipped one white and one clear tube. After going back and forth with them they decided to refund and did not require return so I have an odd pair of bulbs. I have an old shop light fixture I cut the ballast out of to test bulbs before converting my inside fixtures. So far all the bulbs received have worked fine but I haven't tried the warm whites received today.
