l4200 remote hydraulics

Hey all,
I recently removed the hydraulic top-link, side-link, and control valve from my Kubota L4200. This tractor was formerly owned by a landscaper and I didn't need/like the extra hydraulics.
After removal, I connected the supply and return hoses together making a 'loop' to bypass the control valve, but the fluid is still circulating through the hoses, and they get hot. Is there a way to completely turn off this hydraulic flow? I may use it later on but for now I would like to disconnect/bypass it.

I'm not sure what to tell you about your hose setup, could you take a picture?
On a side note, let me know if you want to get rid of the top-link and/or side-link cylinders, I may be interested if the price is right.

Short answer is NO, you can not turn it off. What you have is call the "power beyond" loop and is used for backhoes, logsplitters and valves. The easiest/cheapest thing you can do is to cover the hoses with something like this: Nylon Protective Sleeve (NPS) ,Any good local shop will sell it by the foot also.
