L3300 GST

I've located a L3300 GST 4wd with 623hrs, it looks good but paint is faded, but tires look good. Dealer says "it just needs a battery". is this a good deal? a good tractor? doen't show any leaks. Can I find history of this tractor using serial number? I sure could use some help. This would be my first tractor to own.
