The brochure I had for these models shows the shifting pattern and claims it has a "shuttle" between reverse and low. Is this a true, cluthless shuttle? Or do you still need to clutch? Also, any owners of these models feel free to chime in with your experiences. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You do have to clutch on these models and it is between low range and reverse in the common gear selected. There is a new model L-2800 hydro for this coming year which is at a great price over the Grand L-series.

As Art mentioned, you do have to clutch but I personally find it fast and easy concidering it is a manual gearbox. I bought this L 3400 because of the price. ($ 17000 CAD without FEL) For this amount I got a new tractor with warranty for the work intented. I looked for a second hand but found that all of them were high priced and old, no compacts here that are a few years old. I only have 16 h on this tractor but I am happy with the performance sofar. No problems at all and easy to manoevre.
