L4740 HST wont drive

Tractor would not start and display was off when key turned to start

Found red wire to ignition had corroded and detached from plug

Fixed that but still would not start

Replaced ignition switch and now tractor starts but will not drive in forward or reverse

Hydraulics work and revs normally

Display shows L M H when shifting gears but does not show turtle- rabbit fine

Fuses around clutch and on battery all fine

Went into service mode and transmission set correctly to HST

Error code 84 (throttle sensor) was in history. Cleared it and it has not come back on

Any ideas?

Ok, solved my own problem

Since I had the cowling off, I decided to bypass the stupid clutch safety switch with baling wire

I assumed everything was fine because I could start it without climbing up onto the seat- that was great!

Nevertheless, returning the switch to its normal position solved the travel problem, although I still dont understand how

I'll have to find another way to bypass the switch because the convenience was significant

Has anyone successfully bypassed the clutch safety switch?

Turns out it has to be depressed to start the tractor but released to drive it

So convenient to start the tractor without climbing up on it!
