Tractor
Kubota 3301 and early 60's MF
The tractor has about 375 hours on it and never had a problem till this. It will throttle up, so I don't think it's the cable, but won't idle down past about 2000 rpm. No regen icon flashing.

What do you suppose is up with that ?

If it's a manual cable vs electronic, even at those hours it can be a gummed up cable. Mine had many more hours, but it happened once.

If it ends up not being the cable or linkage, perhaps it's related to the higher rpms required for regeneration. I know the Regen lights are not on, but perhaps the computer is calling for 2000 rpm for a Regen? After ruling out cables, I think I would disconnect the battery for 5 minutes or so and see what happens.
Some Kubota dashes also report error codes after pressing a sequence of buttons.

Sounds like a call to the dealer to diagnose and fix the issue. Again, every time I read these posts, I'm sure glad neith of mine have any emissions junk on them.

You coudn't give me any T4 tractor.

Yeah. My old early 60's MF was sometimes a pita but I could always get it running.

It may not be that but I was wary of the regeneration process when I bought it. Just another something to go wrong. And computers too. There is a lot to be said for keeping it simple.

What year is it? If I recall correctly they have a 5 year warranty.

unfortunately the warranty is expired. I basically only use it for mowing about 4 acres

Gonna have to bite the bag then. Most dealers charge around 100 bucks just to plug in and that don't include any repairs.

Does it have a spring to help it return to idle? could have broken and need replaced.

Actually, when I fired it up a couple days ago to load it for a trip to the dealer, it idled fine, same as it always has. It's been so hot here in Alabama that I have been putting off cutting the rest of the pasture, hoping for a cooler evening to do it, but hopefully it will continue to idle properly. My guess is still computer.
