Kubota B7100?or B6200D???

Hello Everyone. I recently purchased a tractor. I think it's a B6200D
but on the left of the tranny it says B7100 on a aluminium sticker
as you can see in the picture it is to worn to read a model number.
the other thing that confusses me is on the left side of the frame
near the front that has B6200D printed on it with some barcodes.
The hood on the tractor says B6200 but the hood is about 8" to short
and where you add the fuel is about 4" off so you have to lift the hood
to fuel her up in addition to that the hood dosn't shut fully because it
binds on the air filter
The engine is a kubota D850 which makes me think it is a B6200D

Is there any one that has those tractors. if so could they tell me some differences that I could look for like, the b6200D has a ______ ; the 7100 dose not.
Oh and one more thing about the hood, it is a different colour/shade than the rest of the tractor so it is diffidently the wrong hood.

yeah. Thanks! I checked those out yesterday. I have a parts manual for the 6200D and a owners manual for the 7100D. but I still don't know which tractor mine is.
Oh and what is the 'D' at the end of the tractor model mean?, like what is the difference?

Please excuse my ignorance with kubota tractors. This is my first kubota tractor.

I believe the "D" means it's 4WD (or FWA).

Some more pics might be helpful. The dash definetly doesn't look like a B6200, but like you said the engine is a D850 which is in a B6200. Is the gas tank plastic or metal? Is the gas tank off to the left side of the tractor or centered? I believe the B7100 had a plastic gas tank and was mounted to the left. The B6200 should have a metal tank mounted in the center. I put a couple of pics of my B7200 on here. The B6200 should be the same, except mine is a HST. By the way the "D" in B6200D stands for dual traction which would be 4 wheel drive as already mentioned.

The tank is plastic and is mounted to the left, besides it to the right is the battery.
the thing is jacked because I am working on the axle seal and the tires
It seems like it has the 4wd module (front axle,tires,driveshaft etc...) and engine pulled
from a 6200D another reason for this is because the front tires look much newer than the rear

The pix you posted look very much identical to my B7100.

As far as what is not pictured I couldn't say.

Looks like there has been some mods on yours.

Tough little tractor though, my first one went 4000+ hours without a hiccup when I retired and sold it.

But then I got itchy and replaced it with another.

B7100 with a few B6200 parts fitted by the looks of it.

Many parts on that machine look the same as my b7100. Cant say for sure about your engine.

Okay ... the pix showing the engine does not look like the one my B7100. For one thing it appears you have a different generator/alternator. and the exhaust manifold appears somewhat different.

If I had to bet, I would say that you have basically a B7100 which has been fitted with a slightly different replacement engine and hood and ????.

The specs say that the B7100 has a Kubota D750-A engine.

It definitely looks like a hybrid. The front frame on a B7100 is not as long as what shows in your picture. The B7100 hood hinges at the bottom just below the radiator. The fuel tank looks right for a 7100 (off on the left). To my knowledge, all 7100s had the D750 engine.

It's a 3 cyl diesel

The fuel tank and batt look exactly like mine. AF and fuel filter loook similar too but I'm not near the tractor right now so not 100% sure.

There are diffidently a couple of differences that I notice right off
1. It looks like your tractor has a larger radiator
2. Mine has a water pump (in your photos It doesn't appear that your tractor
has a water pump but I might be wrong so please correct me if I am
2. On the dash of my tractor there is a label that reads "decompression knob"
but all there is, is a hole. As far as I can see there is no decomp option on my engine.
3. and as already noted the alternator is diffidently different


I am going to talk to the dealer I bought the tractor from and see if they can connect me with the original owner.

I will report what I figure out as soon as possible

Looks like you have a piece meal tractor. The D850 engine appears to be used in many applications including welders. It's 15 or 17 HP according to a search I did. The B7100 is 16HP I think. Here's what the D850 goes in, B6200 is in the list.
