My dealer has picked up and delivered my tractor for any and all work done to it at no charge. I assumed it was part of the warranty. Apparently I need to go hug my dealer and not complain when they leave it up to me to get the tractor to them for the repair. I wonder if a U-haul trailer will do...

Eric might be able to do a house call if it's just a bolt on. Just give Dick a call.

We got our kits in Yesterday and we install the first one, one out of 84.
Very simple to put on. But we have 84 Kl120 and Kl130 Loader in the field and we still did not have no complants. We been checking as come in and we found 1 loader with cracks. Here or some pic of kit install

hmmm, looks like a cover to me

Looks good to me................

I would guess the goal was to eliminate twisting? That should do it. Isn't it something that a dealer has 84 units out there with no complaints? It really doesn't matter now since everyone within the serial # range will get a kit regardless.

Optimistic in PA............

Okay. Top of my to do list is to check the serial number and see if it applies.

I wonder why the deadline of April 30th? Usually recalls don't have an ending date.

If the symptom has not surfaced yet, will the fix still be applied to the loader as a precaution?

Again, thanks!

Mark one up for Kioti.

I believe the answer is..........Yes

Looks to be a straightforward bolt on. Is there any reason why owners can't do this ourselves?

Thx for posting the nice pix, Tractorhill.

When you install these covers, do you remove and discard the old
inspection hole cover? Is the new cover loose enougn to
rattle, or does it clamp on to the cross-tube?

Of course it is absurd to be required to take your tractor in to a
dealer to have this done. It is clearly an easy DIY task. My
dealer is more than 1000 mi away and my tractors have never
been there.

The fix seems to be at least 3/16" plate. Is that right? If so,
is the added weight about 25-35 lb?

I am inclined to decline this fix for my 3 Kiotis.

Thanks to all the dealers who have responded and posted pictures. You guys are the best! :D

Proviso: Any inaccurate observation would obviously change my conclusion and opinion.

It would appear from the posted pictures and the illustrations that this new assembly simply straddles the original torque tube. It also does not appear to come into contact with the loader arms or be directly bolted to them. The new assembly further appears more to strengthen by way of friction betwixt and between the old and new torque tube assemblies This friction is, I would assume, added mechanically by the jack bolts bringing both assemblies into contact at various overall points and using this contact to strengthen the original torque tube. I don’t believe that it is intended to supplant it but to buttress the original torque tube. From this design I would further assume that these jack bolts would have to be monitored over time to insure that they remained tight and don’t become loose or lose sufficient mechanical torque

This kit may get the job done, but I am not impressed. :( It looks like a maintenance headache. Getting to the hose fittings where the original access panel was installed, and for that purpose, in now going to be a major PIA. Pop a hose and you will be working quite a while to replace it.

Yep, you can never make some people happy, but I am one usually willing to settle and move-on, however I find myself disappointed with this fix and have concerns for it in the long hall. I am thinking of simply just fixing it myself. Just my 2 cents worth.
