I use my bucket to knock off the dirt and it
was a good thing that I had the backhoe on
to keep the tail down the stump was so big
I could not get it to move so got part of it in
the bucket and put a strap on it and tightened
it up and the bucket picket it up and off to the
brush pile in the back very slowly
I use the backhoe bucket and loader bucket
to knock the dirt off works for me sure beats
a shovel or pick

I probably wouldn't have chosen to pay for a KB2475L backhoe for my Kioti CK3510, but the previous owner did and it came in the package, so lucky me!

After renting an 8000lb Bobcat E35 a few times, I was used to very efficient stump digging in my sandy soil. A 12" bucket on the E35 can make 4 foot deep trenches on all 4 sides of a 20-30" stump within just a few minutes. Better yet, don't even cut the tree down, just dig around the tree root ball and then push it right over with the excavator. Cut the stump off after.

Well, the Kioti KB2475 is no mini excavator. It's a great backhoe and digs just fine, but the tractor is simply too light. You can just pull the whole tractor around. I don't plan on digging out any giant stumps with my kioti backhoe, it would simply take forever, be hard on the whole machine, and then like y'all have mentioned, wouldn't be able to pick up and move the stump. So I aim to keep it to smaller 15" and under trees/stumps. Only did a couple last fall before taking the backhoe off for winter; took 20-30 minutes each and felt painfully slow. Just put it back on and plan to get to digging soon.

This very healthy 10" diameter black walnut tree was the first test for the backhoe. It took a while to get the tree really loose and ready to push over.

Part of the problem with a small tractor backhoe is you just don't have the reach of a proper mini excavator. Have to position a lot more carefully and more often.

Once you get the hang of digging them out
its a piece of cake!

I dug this one with my KX-040 excavator. I could drag it around pretty good but couldn’t lift it. Your neighbors 6 ton excavator is way stronger than a tractor backhoe though. View attachment 742340
Yeah it is. It also cost him , i think 70k it is a Bobcats

Only took a couple hours of digging and cutting and this one finally came out. Actually I cheated. Big tap root and ball, so I hooked the super duty to it and a few good yanks got it out

I’ve team dug stumps pulling with my mini x and a second operator pushing with the skid steer before. I’ve also team pushed a few big trees with the 40 and my buddies 80 trackhoe before. I’ve had to team load some of the big ones too.

Unless your material is super sandy and it will all fall from the roots, you are going to have a 2000lb root ball to get out and move. I don't think you have enough Giddy-up with that backhoe. I have dug out three sides of an 18" diameter tree 40' tall, then pushed it over. That helps break many roots that would need to be broken with bucket or axe. My soil is clay so much of the soil stuck to roots. After cleaning as much soil off as I could, I was still fighting with 3000lbs of Ball.

Realistically is backhoe on tract like ck3510 capable of digging out large stump like a 36"?
Where I live in the North East, where there are rocks at big as a man's torso, I'd prefer a bigger machine but, hey you can dig it out with a teaspoon if you are of a mind to.
There are less machinery intensve methods. Burning, Drilling and fertilizing, chipping with a rented stump grinder. And of course my favorite if there are no structures nearby. Drill it deep fill the hole with black powder, jam a fuse in and let 'r rip.
