Kioti Broken in Half

The way the tractor broke seems opposite of what would happen with too much weight in the FEL. It would bend upward in the middle.
no expert here. but I think what remains after failure somewhat depends on the material used where the break occurs. chrome moly frames i have seen broken did not distort in any way they reached failure and fractured with no real distortion, same for most cast Iron. Now mild steel oh yeah much more likely to pretzel a bit before it fails completely. Cast steel somewhere in the middle but it sure would be a lot easier to weld for a repair than cast iron possibly for this Kioti's case.

Here at TBN, a World fat with SCUTs, CUTs and Utility tractors, most with FELs, front axle/bearing failure is very rare. Definitely more rare than bent/broken FELs. Probably more rare than broken tractor chassis.
You think so? My Cub Cadet 7305 did it last year (mitsubishi built). I made a thread about it. And found several others. I suspect some people just replace the bearings and move on with life, no need to fuss about it on the internet. I was scared when mine happened, but it was an easy repair in the end.

Yeah, I think so. Search for threads about distorted or bent FELs. :)

Took me all of 10 seconds to find a bunch of failed bearings & seals threads. Here’s ONE thread

I would bet I am one of the hardest FEL tractor USERS. Some would say abuse but oh well. I have replaced broken off FEL mount bolts but I keep them TIGHT also. I have broke a front axle bearing housing. It was simply replaced at only $250 and maybe a hour of my time. I have bent my curl cylinders a bunch of times to the point of building blocks to straighten them on the machine. To break the Kioti's frame I am betting a heavy load and hitting a rock or hole just like when I cracked the bearing housing. And yes all of the damage I have done has been using a custom built grapple except for 1 time with the bucket building a driveway with frost in it. I have a 1000lb rolled box blade with loaded tires and normally carry as much as the tractor will lift. [yes my pressure is turned up to 2700lb also] That frame that broke is steel and would be simply repaired and with a few parts would be useable again. But with the hours on the machine I wonder what else is in bad shape because of the abuse. CJ

I own. Kioti 7320. I have lifted and carried larege tree stumps with my grapple. Hundreds of them
Lumber stacks and large rocks. I always try to carry with the loader in the lowest possible position. It is a stomach turning picture to see that machine broken like that. I am sure it could happen to many of us. I have a 2005 Komatsu PC130 excavator and I have used it for an amazing range of jobs on the farm. You can break any of these things if you are using them hard.
yes, There is a line between hard use and overuse. It isnt always easy to see. The line between hard use and abuse is easier for MOST people to see.
Some people are just belligerent

Those that are noticing the shinier paint on the front over what's' on the back might want to consider that hydraulic hoses were probably pulled in two or cut open by mangled metal and spraying hydraulic oil around a bit. That's going to improve the color and sheen a bit. :sneaky:

It might be time for you to consider a construction machine that’s more capable of withstanding abuse.
