Hello everyone,
I'm Jim, this is my first post.
I am restoring a 2004 kawasaki mule 550, and I want to add a linear actuator to make the box a dump bed, dose anyone know what the stroke length of the factory unit is. I have several here I can retro fit and not spend the $1,200 for an oem part. Thank you, Jim.

It's a bit rough now, but I have done a couple of them.

My last project, it was rougher than the Mule.

See if you can source a parts diagram. Then call Kawasaki with the part number and ask them about the cylinder specifications.

I have searched through my stock and the best fit I have is only a 10" stroke, so!

I'll just order one, it's still over $1000 dollars cheaper than the oem unit. I think 440lbs of lift should be enough for my use, if not I can add another to the right side and have dual cylinders. I'll just have to try and see!
Is there an intrest here for build threads?
Im going to do a little motor work, if it proves worthwhile, I want to do a total rebuild?
